Hombo Shuzo Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of a new product, “MARS MALT Le Papillon Double Cask Miyamashijimi.”
Product Description
“MARS MALT Le Papillon” is a series that expresses the beauty of Japan’s natural environment and its distinct four seasons, which shape the whisky maturation process, using butterflies native to Japan as motifs. This release is themed around the butterfly “Miyamashijimi,” a member of the Lycaenidae family that inhabits limited areas of central Honshu. Inspired by its deep blue-violet color—often likened to a blue jewel of the deep mountains—two sherry casks were vatted. Distilled in 2016 at the Mars Shinshu Distillery, this double cask single malt whisky was bottled at natural cask strength and non-chill filtered.
