Hombo Shuzo Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of its new product, “World Natural Heritage 30th Anniversary Shochu Genshu Yakusugi.”
Product Description
Yakushima is an island designated as a World Natural Heritage site, surrounded by rich and abundant nature. Hombo Shuzo, founded in 1872, began shochu production on this island in 1960. Since then, for more than half a century, the distillery has continued its journey as a shochu producer deeply rooted in Yakushima. In December 2023, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Yakushima’s registration as a World Natural Heritage site, this genshu shochu with a rich and sweet flavor derived from sweet potatoes will be released in limited quantities under the “Jomon Sugi” label.
