Product Description
Yakushima, a World Natural Heritage island, lies approximately 60km south-southwest of the Kagoshima mainland. Situated on this island of steep mountains and blessed with abundant water is the Mars Yakushima Aging Cellar. “MARS The Y.A.” is a Japanese Whisky that has matured in this one-of-a-kind environment. It was created by vatting malt whiskies distilled at the Komagatake and Tsunuki distilleries, aged primarily in ex-Bourbon Barrels. With aromas of citrus grown under the tropical sun, and a minerality and richness evoking the majestic ocean surrounding the island, this whisky truly embodies the southern island of Yakushima.
