“Chateau Mars Hosaka Shukaku Blanc 2023,” “Chateau Mars Hosaka Shukaku Rouge 2022,” and “Chateau Mars Hosaka Muscat Bailey A Barrel Aging 2022,” all produced at Hombo Shuzo’s Mars Hosaka Winery, have received Gold awards at the “12th SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2025.” A total of three items from Hombo Shuzo received Gold awards.

About SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards

SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards began in 2014 as an international wine competition judged by Japanese women. The number of entries has increased every year, and it has become known as one of the largest and most valuable wine competitions in Asia. This year, 3,962 items from 36 countries were blind-tasted by female judges active in the Japanese wine industry. Based on the scores, Double Gold, Gold, and Silver are selected, and from the Double Gold winners, the Diamond Trophy and Special Grand Prix awards are presented.
