Award: Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition 2025 Shochu Category Superior Gold

Hombo Shuzo Co., Ltd. has won a “Superior Gold” award for its Honkaku Shochu “Yakushima Daishizenrin Mugi” in the Shochu Category of the “TOKYO WHISKY & SPIRITS COMPETITION (TWSC) 2025” held in Tokyo. In addition, three other Honkaku Shochu brands received “Gold” awards.

TOKYO WHISKY & SPIRITS COMPETITION (TWSC)

The TWSC (Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition) is a whisky and spirits competition originating in Japan, planned and operated by the Whisky Culture Institute. It aims to judge whiskies and spirits from around the world with the deep knowledge and passion of Japanese whisky and spirits enthusiasts, promoting high-quality whiskies and spirits both domestically and internationally. For each entry category, Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards are determined based on scoring results judging Aroma, Flavor, Finish, Balance, and Overall impression. Furthermore, products that achieve remarkable scores among the Gold winners are judged and decided by the Executive Committee to receive the “Superior Gold” award.
