Exploring the boundless potential of Japanese whisky, the Malt Duo series transcends the boundaries between distilleries in pursuit of crafting exceptional whisky. Through exchanging malt spirits, maturing them in each distillery’s distinct environment, and vatting them with house malts, this release marks the third milestone in the series, following MARS WHISKY Malt Duo “KOMAGATAKE × CHICHIBU 2021” and “TSUNUKI × AKKESHI 2024.”

Drawing on Kagoshima’s rich distilling heritage spanning over a century, Mars Tsunuki Distillery and Kanosuke Distillery exchanged malt spirits in 2020 to begin maturation in their respective lands. This blended malt Japanese whisky was crafted by vatting two malt whiskies aged at Mars Tsunuki Distillery: “Tsunuki” and “KANOSUKE.” Though sharing their roots in Kagoshima, the contrasting distilling philosophies and maturation conditions weave a captivating interplay of distinct characters.
