Single Malt Tsunuki THE FIRST

Single Malt Tsunuki Born
from Nature’s Blessings

The "Tsunuki" brand whisky is crafted at the Mars Tsunuki Distillery, located in the lush, mountainous region of southwestern Satsuma Peninsula. This area benefits from a climate with significant temperature variations typical of basins, as well as high-quality spring water from the Kuratake Mountain range. Tsunuki, the birthplace of Hombo Shuzo, is blessed with a warm climate and abundant water resources.
With a deep understanding of the water, climate, and environment of this land, and a dedication to preserving traditional craftsmanship, the distillery continues its pursuit of whisky-making in the rich soil of Tsunuki.

"Creating New Value
in Japanese Whisky"

After 32 years, whisky production has resumed in Kagoshima at the "Mars Tsunuki Distillery."
Surrounded by Mount Kuratake (475m) to the east and Mount Nagaya (513m) to the west, this distillery is blessed with a warm climate and the abundant spring water from Mount Kuratake.
More than 100 years after Hombo Shuzo first began shochu-making in the birthplace of "Tsunuki," we now harness the power of nature, time, and human craftsmanship to create new value in Japanese whisky from this land.
