The best of Mars wine

"Hosaka Hinoshiro” was born as the highest brand of Mars Wine, aiming to be a world-class Japanese wine.
In 2000, Mars Wine opened its own farm," Hosaka Hinoshiro Farm", on the southeastern slope at an elevation of 500 meters above sea level, located in Hosaka-machi Sannokura “Hinoshiro,” with a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji.

"Hosaka Hinoshiro Farm"

The Hosaka Hills spread out at the southwestern foot of Mt. Chigatake, which rises in the northern part of Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. The gentle slopes, with an average slope of 1/12, receive ample sunlight and boast one of the longest hours of sunshine in Japan.
The 2.2 hectare vineyard, located approximately 3 km from Mars Hosaka Winery, is a single vineyard on non-volcanic red clay soil with culvert drainage and a grape-guard system in the main parcel to protect the grape bunches from rainwater damage. The European grape varieties are planted in a hedgerow style, and uncompromising viticulture is practiced, such as picking bunches of grapes several months prior to harvest to limit the number of bunches.
