Koshu 10-year Aged
10-Year Aged Koshu White Wine
Yamanashi Prefecture's Isawa district is a representative fruit-growing area in the prefecture, characterized by well-drained sandy loam soil deposited by the Fuefuki River originating from the Chichibu mountain range, and a warm climate during the growing season. Additionally, the Hosaka district, located at the foot of Mt. Chigadake, belongs to the area with long sunshine hours and a cool, low-rainfall climate, with winds running through the foothills and slightly sticky soil, making it a representative wine grape-producing region in the prefecture. "Koshu Jyunen Koshu 2001" is a wine made exclusively from fully ripe Koshu grapes harvested in 2001 from these distinctive two regions, fermented at low temperatures for an extended period. Furthermore, it is a wine that has been aged for 10 years until bottling, known as "Koshu," and has been matured at a low (constant) temperature. It has been crafted into a wine with a dignified style typical of aged wines, possessing a "mature depth" and a "soft aging sensation" that cannot be expressed in young wines. It is a slightly sweet Koshu wine with complex aromas developed through aging and a smooth taste.
