Isawa district is located in the almost central part of Kofu Basin and is a representative fruit-growing area in the prefecture. The koshu grapes of Isawa, nurtured by the well-drained sandy gravel soil deposited by the Fuefuki River originating from the Chichibu mountain range and the warm climate during the growing season, have a "high ripeness," "soft richness and sweetness," and a "fragrant" taste. At Mars Wine, we have been producing koshu wine in this area for over 40 years. This slightly sweet white wine, with a fragrant and mellow taste, is made from koshu grapes grown on well-drained alluvial fans in the Kofu Basin of Yamanashi Prefecture. After fermentation is complete, it is aged at low temperatures for a minimum of 3 years before shipping, expressing a "calm depth" and "soft aging sensation" that cannot be found in young wines.
