Hosaka district in Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, rises from the northwestern corner of the triangular Kofu Basin, and is a leading wine grape producing region in the prefecture.
The mountain foothills of Kayagatake, located at an elevation of 400 to 700 meters, on the southwest slope, belong to the sunny, low rainfall, cool climate zone.
Grapes nurtured by the natural environment brought by the wind running through the foothills and slightly viscous soil have a "high concentration" and "strong backbone" taste.
By harmonizing the "strength" and "softness" of Hosaka-grown Merlot and Muscat Bailey A grapes through aging in French oak barrels, we have produced a red wine with a "soft" yet "powerful and firm" taste.
