Yakushima-produced herbal liqueur made primarily from Yakushima-grown Gajutsu, blended with five types of plant extracts. Gajutsu, also known as "purple turmeric," is a perennial herbaceous plant in the ginger family, historically valued for its rhizomes and used as an aromatic digestive aid for health maintenance. In addition to Gajutsu, this liqueur contains extracts of Gokahi, Sansho, Kuko, Kanzo (licorice), and Kei, all aged for an extended period to create a unique flavor and aroma characteristic of herbal liqueurs. This herbal liqueur is recommended for those who do not drink alcohol often and is ideal for celebrating longevity. It is suggested to enjoy a small amount daily as an aperitif before dinner or before bedtime.
