Genshu Yakushima Daishizenrin Mugi is an exceptional Mugi shochu, hand-crafted on the World Natural Heritage site of Yakushima Island.
This premium genshu is distilled from 100% two-row barley from Kagoshima and brewed with the famously soft, pure water of Yakushima using traditional fermentation in hand-made clay pots (kame).
It is characterized by a rich, sweet, and toasty aroma reminiscent of malted chocolate, leading to a smooth, honey-like sweetness on the palate.
The beautiful package design features artwork by Ms. Yuko Takada, a painter based on Yakushima.
