Kame nekase Yaku no hekigyoku

Pot-Aged Mugi Shochu Genshu
Born in the embrace of the island, a World Natural Heritage Site, Yakushima, this deep and rich flavor is recommended as a gem that allows you to enjoy a blissful moment with the gentle flow of time.

This is a handcrafted Mugi shochu genshu made at Yakushima Denshogura, using a traditional method of black koji fermentation and aging in kame (earthenware pots) that are made and stored by Kame. Made from domestically produced 50% polished barley and using the soft water of Yakushima, this shochu is carefully aged in unglazed kame pots in a tunnel warehouse at the foot of Mt. Taichu in Yakushima, shielded from the influence of light and kept in a cool environment throughout the year.
