Estate-Grown "Koganesengan" Imo Shochu
Our "Koganesengan" Imo shochu is made with sweet potatoes grown in our own field, "Kawahira Field," adjacent to Chiran Distillery. Handcrafted using black koji and single-distilled using an atmospheric distillation method in traditional pot stills, this shochu is a labor of love crafted by our master distiller. From the sweet potatoes used as raw ingredients to the final product, this shochu is entirely handcrafted in-house, making it a true Satsuma shochu. A delight for shochu enthusiasts, this honkaku shochu exudes the sweet aroma of steamed sweet potatoes, a rich and full-bodied flavor, ample sweetness, and a creamy texture that truly captures the essence of premium sweet potatoes.
