Mars Komagatake Distillery, established in 1985, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025. To commemorate this milestone, we have crafted a special single malt whisky that encapsulates the distillery's 40-year history.
This edition was created by vatting malt whiskies from four distinct decades: the 1980s, 1990s, 2010s, and 2020s (excluding the silent period of the 2000s).
Crafted with a diverse selection of malt whiskies matured in ex-Bourbon Barrels, Sherry Casks, and American Oak Casks, it is bottled non-chill filtered to preserve its authentic flavor. The nose offers a multi-layered harmony of aromas: sweetness evoking apple jam, ripe apricot, and melon, blending with notes of vanilla and aged oak. The palate delivers flavors of raisin and maple syrup, balanced by cinnamon spice and a rich depth evoking sweet chestnut and chocolate.
