Mars Komagatake Distillery is located in Miyata Village, Nagano Prefecture. Every year in the latter half of September, many Asagimadara butterflies visit the village of "Asagimadara no Sato" to see the blooming flowers of the Fujiwara plant.
The "Single Malt Komagatake Asagimadara no Sato" series features a whisky with a rich aroma reminiscent of yellow flowers, using the winning work from the annual "Asagimadara no Sato Photo Contest" held in Miyata Village as its packaging.
The photograph used on the packaging is the work titled "Butterfly and Flower Collaboration" by Yuichi Kitahara, who won the grand prize at the "Asagimadara no Sato Photo Contest 2022".
