Mars Komagatake Distillery is located in Miyada Village, Nagano Prefecture. Every year in the latter half of September, many Asagi madara butterflies visit the village of "Asagi madara no Sato" to see the blooming flowers of the Fujiwara plant.
The "Single Malt KOMAGATAKE Asagi madara no Sato" series features a whisky with a rich aroma reminiscent of yellow flowers, using the winning work from the annual "Asagi madara no Sato Photo Contest" held in Miyada Village as its packaging.
The photograph used on the packaging is the work titled "Butterfly and Flower Collaboration" by Yuichi Kitahara, who won the grand prize at the "Asagi madara no Sato Photo Contest 2022".
