The Mars Komagatake Distillery is located in Miyada Village, Nagano Prefecture. Each year in late September, the village's "Asagi madara no Sato" (Village of the Asagi madara) comes alive as countless Asagi madara (Chestnut Tiger) butterflies arrive, drawn to the fragrant, blooming Fujibakama flowers (thoroughwort).
The "Single Malt KOMAGATAKE Asagi madara no Sato" is a special series that features the grand prize-winning photograph from the village's annual "Asagi madara no Sato Photo Contest" on its label.
This latest edition is a single malt whisky that gently unfolds with a sweet, harmonious aroma, inspired by the image of two butterflies dancing in perfect unison.

The photograph featured on the package is a piece titled "Chobu" (Leaping Dance) by Mr. Atsuyuki Kobayashi.
This work was the distinguished winner of both the Grand Prize and the Art Label Award at the "Asagi madara no Sato Photo Contest 2024".
