In 2015, this single malt whisky was distilled at Mars Komagatake Distillery (formerly Mars Shinshu Distillery) and matured on Yakushima, a UNESCO World Heritage island located approximately 60km south-southwest of the Kagoshima mainland.
It is a vatting of malt whiskies matured in Sherry casks, carefully selected from the Mars Yakushima Aging Cellar.
This expression features distinctive peaty notes characteristic of its Yakushima aging, accompanied by rich, sweet aromas of bitter chocolate and coffee derived from the Sherry casks, creating a profound impression.
It offers a well-balanced taste that interweaves sweetness and bitterness, leading to a lingering finish.
