This is a single malt whisky distilled at Mars Komagatake Distillery (formerly Mars Shinshu Distillery) and matured on the World Natural Heritage island of Yakushima, located approximately 60 km south-southwest of the Kagoshima mainland.
We have vatted a selection of malt whiskies from our Mars Yakushima Aging Cellar, primarily matured in ex-Bourbon barrels.
The nose opens with juicy, refreshing citrus fruit and a subtle hint of peat, gradually revealing sweet aromas of vanilla and custard cream.
The palate delivers a robust fruitiness—a character reflecting its maturation in a southern climate. We invite you to enjoy this rare single malt, which has slumbered in the embrace of Yakushima's magnificent nature.
