Since its establishment in 2016, "Mars Tsunuki Distillery" has reached its 5th year. The malt spirit, made with high-quality spring water from the Kurata mountain range, has been maturing under the climate with distinct temperature differences in the basin.
The "Single Malt Tsunuki PEATED" is a whisky that is vatted mainly with peated malt spirit distilled in the first year and matured in bourbon barrels during the season. Following a pleasant sweet and soft flavor, the smoky flavor derived from peat spreads in the mouth, creating a finish that reflects the essence of the distillery in Kagoshima.
The two curves designed at the top and bottom of the bottle represent the Central Alps mountain range in Nagano Prefecture at the top and the ridgelines of mountains in Kagoshima Prefecture, including Sakurajima, at the bottom. They express the natural environments of both prefectures where Mars whisky's distillery, which produces a variety of genshu, is located.
