Distilled using high-quality spring water from the Kurata mountain range, our malt whisky matures in the basin's climate, defined by distinct seasonal temperature variations.
"Single Malt TSUNUKI PEATED" is vatted primarily from peated malt whiskies distilled during our inaugural year and aged in ex-Bourbon barrels.
Pleasant sweetness and softness give way to expanding smoky peat flavors on the palate, creating a finish that captures the essence of this Kagoshima distillery.
The two curves designed on the bottle label symbolize the Central Alps of Nagano Prefecture at the top and the mountain ridgelines of Kagoshima Prefecture, including Mt. Sakurajima, at the bottom.
These designs express the diverse natural environments of both prefectures where Mars Whisky distilleries are located, producing a wide variety of whiskies.
