In 2016, the Mars Tsunuki Distillery and the Akkeshi Distillery began distillation in their respective homes of Kagoshima and Hokkaido. In 2018, these two distilleries, set in vastly different climates and natural environments, exchanged their Malt Genshu and began maturing the spirits in their own unique terroir.
This bottle is a Blended Malt Japanese Whisky, created by vatting two Malt Genshu—one from Tsunuki and one from Akkeshi—which were both matured together at the Mars Tsunuki Distillery.
