Collaboration with the Akkeshi Distillery
In 2016, Mars Tsunuki Distillery and Akkeshi Distillery began distillation in their respective homes of Kagoshima and Hokkaido.
In 2018, these two distilleries, situated in vastly different climates and environments, exchanged malt spirits and began maturing them in their own unique terroir.
This bottle is a "Blended Malt Japanese Whisky," created by vatting malt whiskies from Tsunuki and Akkeshi that were matured together at Mars Tsunuki Distillery.
We invite you to enjoy this remarkable duet between Tsunuki and Akkeshi—two distilleries that fired up their pot stills around the same time in distant, contrasting lands.
