Komagatake Lightly Peated New Make (2020 Vintage)
"New Pot" (New Make Spirit) serves as the prototype for single malt whisky, which is released only after maturing in casks for over three years.
In June 2020, we bottled a limited edition of this unaged spirit, distilled from lightly peated malt. It offers a glimpse into the future of our whisky.
The aroma expands even further when enjoyed "Twice Up" (adding an equal amount of water).
This release is particularly significant as the final New Pot produced using the "iron fermentation tanks" (washbacks), which have now been retired following the renewal of our production facilities.
