To commemorate this achievement, we have released a rare aged Shochu from Yakushima Denshogura.
"ONZE" is a special limited edition, 11-year aged Mugi Shochu Genshu produced at Yakushima Denshogura.
Crafted using Japanese domestic barley and Yakushima's soft water, it employs traditional methods: primary and secondary fermentation using Black Koji in antique Kame (earthenware jars) dating back to the Meiji era.
This Genshu was quietly aged for 11 years in Kame within a tunnel cellar at the foot of Mt. Tachudake, Yakushima, maintained at a cool temperature year-round.
To preserve its original flavor, it was bottled directly from the Kame without dilution.
Slowly matured amidst the deep, humid forests of Yakushima—home to ancient trees and diverse flora—it embodies the island's nature.
Please enjoy notes of cocoa and maple syrup, imbued with the essence of Yakushima's forest.
