This Imo Shochu is made from Akakogane sweet potatoes, which are grown in Minami Satsuma and are known for their high starch content.
The potatoes are fermented with black koji mold. These sweet potatoes are exceptionally delicious, even when eaten raw. The shochu crafted from them boasts a wonderfully fruity aroma, a profound flavor, and a rich, satisfying taste.
"Tsunuki" refers to Tsunuki in Kaseda, Minami Satsuma City, Kagoshima Prefecture, the birthplace of Hombo Shuzo.
This limited-edition imo shochu was born from a dedication to crafting a shochu that warms the body and soul. Currently, it is distributed mainly in Kagoshima Prefecture, with limited availability in Miyazaki and other select areas.
