The island of Yakushima, a World Natural Heritage site surrounded by rich nature. Hombo Shuzo, founded in 1872, began making shochu in this area in 1960.
Since then, for over half a century, it has been walking as a shochu brewery rooted in Yakushima.
In December 2023, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the World Natural Heritage registration, we will offer a limited sale of genshu with a sweet and rich taste of sweet potato, with the label "Jomon Sugi".
