Handcrafted Mugi Shochu from Yakushima
Made from 50% domestically produced refined barley, using the soft water of Yakushima, and produced using the traditional handmade black koji kame jar brewing method, this honkaku Mugi shochu is a masterpiece. It is stored and aged in unglazed jars in the tunnel at the foot of Mt. Taichu in Genshu Yakushima, in a cool environment throughout the year.
This Mugi shochu has a rich flavor from the handmade jar brewing process, and becomes mellow through jar storage, offering a satisfying taste with nutty aromas and a matured, calm flavor.
