About Mars Hosaka Winery

Established in 2017, Mars Hosaka Winery was created with the aim of improving wine quality to produce wines that stand out globally. In the brewing building, you can closely observe the actual wine-making process, but only during the grape preparation period (from late July to late October). The visitor building includes a bar and shop, offering tastings of Mars wines, pairing experiences with snacks that complement the wines, and the opportunity to purchase exclusive wines. Enjoy Mars wine while overlooking Mount Fuji amidst the nature-rich lands of Hosaka.

About Mars Hosaka Winery

WINERY TOURMARS HOSAKA

Mars Wine established its own farm, the “Hosaka Hinoshiro Farm,” in the Hosaka Hills of Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, in 2000. Located about 3 km away from Mars Hosaka Winery, on a southeast-facing slope at an elevation of 500 meters, the area receives ample sunlight and has long sunshine hours, making it suitable for cultivating high-quality wine grapes. The grapes are cultivated using a trellis system, and the number of grape clusters is limited months before harvest, practicing uncompromising grape cultivation. As the vines age, the grapes become more concentrated and powerful, resulting in a complex and deep flavor.

Thanks to the ‘gravity flow’ design, which utilizes the natural slope of the land to minimize stress on the grapes and grape juice, we can maximize the potential of grapes carefully cultivated in our own farm and contracted farms. From the visitor’s path, you can observe the wine-making process, including the destemming and crushing machines, press machines, fermentation tanks, and other equipment during the wine-making season.

“Chateau Mars Hosaka Hinoshiro” is a high-quality wine that represents the pinnacle of our own products, crafted with grapes grown at our “Hosaka Hinoshiro Farm”, brewed at Mars Hosaka Winery, and bottled, stored, and aged at Mars Yamanashi Winery. Since the start of brewing at Mars Hosaka Winery in 2017, we invite you to experience the Mars wine that continues to aim higher, firsthand.
